Intex has launched the Aqua A4 smartphone in India, aggressively priced at Rs 4,199. The highlight of the smartphone is that it is currently the most affordable smartphone running Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Intex’s integration of Android Nougat on an entry-level smartphone marks hope for the OS to increase its presence. Android Nougat was last recorded to be running on 7.1 percent devices globally. The Intex A4 also raises the bar for entry-level smartphones generally, as manufacturers are focusing on this market heavily especially for Tier-II and Tier-III cities in India.
